We are seeking a dynamic and experienced School Counsellor to join our team and provide comprehensive health and well-being support to students. Responsibilities:

  • Be a trusted, approachable and familiar presence in the school community. 
  • Support the delivery of the PSHE programme.
  • Provide individual or group therapy to pupils seeking support or referred by a member of school staff, within the Counsellor’s scope of expertise
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students, addressing a range of issues such as stress, anxiety, and emotional regulation
  • Facilitate workshops and sessions on various health and well-being topics, such as stress management, emotional regulation, and healthy relationships
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student well-being and success
  • Develop and implement programs to promote positive mental health and well-being within the school community
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student counselling sessions
  • Contribute to school-wide health and wellbeing initiatives and initiatives to promote positive mental health and wellbeing.

Requirements:

  • A Degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience providing counseling services in a school or related setting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively with a team and a commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Knowledge of current evidence-based practices in mental health and well-being.

Appointed staff from the United Kingdom are to provide an International Child Protection Certificate (UK) (refer: http://www.acro.police.uk/ICPC/). Full police clearance, covering at least the previous 10 years, is necessary for all appointees who are working, or who have worked, in countries outside the United Kingdom.
