We are looking to appoint an exceptional middle leader to join our Executive Leadership Group as Whole School Lead Practitioner Responsible for Practitioner Development. We are a flourishing and expanding school who achieved ‘good’ in our latest Ofsted visit. We are determined to become ‘outstanding’ and are committed to the personal and professional development of all of our staff. You will have responsibility for practitioner development both within the school and across schools
We are looking to appoint an ambitious colleague who has a passion for teaching and learning, with a proven track record of raising standards in a subject area. We are looking to appoint a Lead Practitioner who has;
· A thorough understanding of what ‘great’ teaching entails, and by role modelling your own practice, can support colleagues improve theirs.
· The ability to develop and implement plans that will improve the quality of teaching and learning both across the school and in a school to school support capacity.
· Maintains uncompromisingly high expectations for themselves, staff and students.

Golborne High School, a co-educational secondary school of around 1,200 pupils, is located near to Wigan, Greater Manchester. Providing places for pupils aged 11-16, Golborne High is a foundation cooperative trust school, forming a key part of the GoalCo Trust, a network of schools and colleges situated in and around Wigan.
The GoalCo cooperative was established in 2010, but the secondary school itself first opened its doors in 1954.
