About the School 

IPS (International Preparatory School) is a beautiful, child centered British school of approximately 390 children located in Cascais near Lisbon, Portugal.

We are seeking to appoint a passionate and inspiring Learning Support Teacher with a proven track record and experience in working with children with additional needs.

The successful candidate will bring SEND specialist knowledge and be able to plan, lead and support in 1:1 and small group intervention for pupils who are identified as having SpLDs or other types of SEND. Experience in a similar role is advantageous, and familiarity with inclusive education practices is a necessity.

The successful candidate must have:

• An appropriate degree with PGCE or an equivalent teaching-qualification; 
• Experience of working with neurodivergent children with specific learning difficulties
• Experience of working in a school setting either in a teaching or support role
• Outstanding classroom practice and interpersonal skills
