Salary £32,319- £41,365 per annum. If you are in the first 5 years of your FE teaching career, you may be able to claim a levelling up premium payment of up to £5,000, subject to eligibility criteria.

Holiday 30 days per year + Bank Holidays and 2 weeks shut down at Christmas.

Due to further significant growth in student numbers, we are looking for teaching staff and curriculum leaders who have experience in the following areas:

Engineering manufacturing – Specifically industry experience in hand fitting, manual and CNC machining.

Engineering maintenance (Rail stock) – Ideally working on tractor units and rolling stock, the candidates will have experience in mechanical maintenance.

It is preferential to hold an assessor’s qualification, teaching qualification or having experience of teaching would be advantageous but not essential as we provide teacher and assessing training. We are interested in people who are willing to take their experience and knowledge to share with apprentices.

We are a large team of over 50 staff members and are therefore looking for a team player who is willing to work collaboratively and share our college values.

Working within well-resourced workshops, that have benefited from constant development over the past 6 years, prospective staff will have a work environment that closely matches that of industry. Our facilities boast an impressive set up that also includes:

· Integrated CNC and robotic cell

· Industrial 3D printers

· Casting area with 3 furnaces

· Coordinate measuring machine

With further investment and development over the summer of 2024 that includes a purpose-built Advanced Composites lab, Autoclaves and further investment in 3 HAAS CNC machines.

We have in 2023 been graded as outstanding by OFSTED and Strong for our industry links with skills development and continue to grow these links delivering apprenticeships for businesses from Penzance to Reading to the Midlands, both National and International organisations.
