Do you have experience of working with children aged between 3 – 11 years?

We require friendly and caring people to work within our wrap around care unit providing high quality childcare before and after school. 

This is a permanent, term-time only role. Please see details below:

Breakfast Club Assistant - 7.5 hours per week. You will help children to start their day right! You will serve breakfast, engage them in activities and ensure a positive start to their school day.

Afterschool Club Assistant 12.5 hours per week. Keep the fun going after school! You'll assist with snacks, plan creative games and support children in a relaxed, engaging setting until pick-up.

St Joseph's Catholic Voluntary Academy is a Primary school. This is serving the localities of Ollerton and Boughton and surrounding areas of Nottinghamshire. We are an Ofsted-rated 'Good' school.

You will:

  • Coordinate the weekly timetable and ensure appropriate resources. 
  • Be caring and supportive and a great role model who sets a positive example to our children.
  • Ensure the provision offers a safe and stimulating environment.
  • Have a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection.
  • Have a passion for delivering high quality and exciting opportunities for children.
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work with a variety of pupils, staff and parents.
  • Is self-motivated, energetic and proactive and will ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality education and care for all of our children.
  • Have the ability to deal with new challenging situations.
  • Is a strong team player able to support colleagues within a small team.
