Rockingham Primary School is recruiting for a Year 6 Teacher to join our wonderful team as soon as possible.

- To carry out professional duties and to have responsibility for an assigned class.
- To carry out appropriate planning, teaching, marking and assessment activities so each child can achieve their potential.
- To be responsible for the day-to-day work and management of the class and the safety and welfare of the pupils, during on-site and off-site activities.
- To promote the aims and objectives of the school and maintain its philosophy of education.
- This is a fixed term, full time role until 31st August 2025

Who we are looking for

- Qualified teacher status .
- A degree or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working in a Primary setting.
- Evidence of in-service professional development.
- Has a thorough knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children.
- Demonstrates a good understanding of assessment and progress
- Has a thorough understanding of the national curriculum.
- Has a strong application of ICT to enhance children’s learning.

The interview process will include a formal interview and pupil panel as well as the delivery of a 20 minute maths lesson to a whole class of mixed ability pupils.
