Required for January 2025 or Easter 2025. We are seeking to appoint a creative and well qualified teacher with an expertise in pastoral leadership to lead as Year Leader and a strong track record of success in the classroom to lead as Year Leader and Leader of the CPSHE (Citizenship, Personal, Social, Health and Economic) curriculum.
Through high quality leadership as a Year Leader, you will have high expectations of all aspects of our young peoples’ attitudes and behaviours and work with parents to ensure our ethos and values are upheld. You will be responsible for the academic progress, well-being, and pastoral care of all students within your year group. You will work closely with tutors, parents, and the wider school community to ensure all students are supported, challenged, and encouraged to achieve their full potential.
As Learning Leader of CPSHE you will have a strong vision for the CPSHE department, underpinned by both a detailed knowledge of the CPSHE curriculum and a proven track record in leading the curriculum design, strategically planning for and enabling the professional learning of teachers. You will have a commitment to young people in enabling the skills, knowledge and values to help them thrive in all areas of their learning and as members of the community. You will work to ensure we are developing our young people to take agency over their lives and to be resilient, making the right decisions for themselves and their community. This is a superb opportunity for the right person to foster and develop the identity of a year group and its individuals and work with highly professional and committed colleagues and teach and lead lovely students in an Outstanding school. You will need to be morally driven and want to ensure our young people are ready to be active, compassionate citizens for life beyond Seven Kings school.

About Seven Kings School
Seven Kings School is a mixed maintained all through school in Ilford, serving pupils from the ages of 4 to 18. The school is situated in the London Borough of Redbridge. Seven Kings has approximately 2000 students and is a community school maintained by Redbridge Borough Council.
The primary school opened in 2015, with all pupils automatically entitled to move to the secondary. In 2018, Seven Kings school was identified by Ofsted as one of the outstanding schools serving disadvantaged communities.
