Seven additional schools are to join the Schools of Ambition programme and benefit from pound;100,000 a year. Brechin High will focus on vocational education; Castle Douglas High, the same; Dunbar Grammar will look at the performing arts; Fraserburgh Academy will develop a centre of hospitality; Lossiemouth High will promote pupil participation; Springburn Academy, Glasgow, will develop e-learning and leadership (and has secured pound;35,000 from Lord Laidlaw’s youth project to support mentoring and citizenship); St Machar Academy, Aberdeen, will look at health and well-being.
