Highlights include the daily Once Upon a Dream Parade and the Candleabration Ceremony, when birthday candles are lit after dark on Sleeping Beauty Castle.
If you don’t make it for half term, new attractions opening in April include the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror - a ride plummeting you into a Disney “fifth dimension” by dropping 13 floors in a decrepit hotel service lift - not for the faint of stomach.
Also opening in April, and much more tot-friendly, is the “realtime animation” Stitch Live! in which children are welcomed by the cartoon characters on screen, who ask them questions and reply to their answers.
Prices for a two-night, three-day package in February start at pound;131 per adult, pound;76 per child of seven to 11 (children under seven stay and play free), including BB and the three-day hopper tickets for the Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park.
The same package, including Eurostar travel, starts at pound;248 per adult, pound;159 per seven to 11-year-old and pound;83 for a four to six-year-old’s travel.

What to do
When booking ahead, pay a bit extra for a “fast pass” ticket. It cuts down on waiting times and helps to avoid tears and tantrums. If you’re booking at one of the Disneyland hotels, check if they provide fast passes. - Susan, Sussex
Don’t frighten children with unsuitable rides. Pirates of the Caribbean and a lot of Frontierland are scary for children under five. Fantasyland is best for smaller children. - Yvonne, London
Where to stay
We stayed at the Newport Bay, which was handy and nice but expensive. The Holiday Inn was just as close and probably cheaper. And as for the food - next time I’d stay in Paris and catch the train to Disneyland. - Andrew, Newcastle
