The Arts Council of England and the regional arts boards have issued their drama Green Paper.
It is a consultation document which examines the financial plight of the regional building based and touring companies, the role of the national companies, the impact of the National Lottery, outreach work and audience development. It will result in a White Paper which will help guide regional arts board and Arts Council drama planning.
The questions in the Green Paper, will be submitted to wide consultation. There will also be two open public meetings, at the Young Vic Theatre in London on July 4 (0171-633 0133) and the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield on July 6 (0114 276 0621). Contact your regional arts board for consultation meetings, which will be held across the country until 12 July.
