Barely half (55 per cent) of those working in education are happy with the way their careers are progressing, a survey by Investors in People reports.
But the organisation argues that managers need to do more to help employees reach their potential. When asked what was important to career progression, 28 per cent of employees cited day-to-day management support, 27 per cent training courses, 20 per cent agreed development goals and 7 per cent regular career reviews.
