Mrs Jean Weeks Fitz Wimarc school, Essex
Further to your articles on my dispute with FitzWimarc school (TES, September 2006), I would like to point out that the matter was settled by mediation exclusively in my favour and that this reflected an acceptance by the three paying parties - the Department for Education and Skills, Essex local education authority and the school’s governors - that each of their cases was unlikely to succeed in court. It was also agreed by all parties that the role taken by Mr Fuller, the head, could be investigated after mediation.
