I want to become a teacher because a it is a great profession to go into, and you can make a difference to so many lives.
The biggest inspiration at school was a my history teacher at high school. He brought a fun atmosphere into the class, had a good sense of humour and made the work seem relevant.
The most exciting thing that’s happened to me so far is a my placements. My second-year placement was really good. I was treated like a member of staff, not like a student.
I can’t waitato get my own class and do all those things that I have learned about.
But I’m dreading a parents’ night. I have never been to one before and I’m not sure how to deal with it.
I would like my first job to be ina I don’t mind what area but I would like to teach in an enterprising and health-promoting school.
I’ll know I’m a teacher whena I stand up in my own class and am not being assessed.
If I wasn’t going into teaching I’d bea I don’t know. Teaching has always been my ambition. It’s in my family. My mother and father are teachers.
This evening I’ma. studying for my major project, on inclusion.
If I were education minister I woulda. give more funding to schools. I would concentrate on additional support needs being included in mainstream classrooms and also give a big push on health promotion.
