(Photograph) - A NEW brand of mint is causing alarm in schools because of its resemblance to the drug ecstasy.
The Trebor Mighty Mint - a mini version of the famous Extra Strong Mint - is white and marked with a distinctive four-pointed star.
John Ramsey, head of the Toxicology Unit at St George’s Hospital Medical School, London, sai he had been receiving requests to identify the mints (pictured left) from teachers alarmed at their similarity to ecstasy pills.
A spokeswoman for makers Trebor Bassett said: “At this stage no change will be made to Trebor Mighty Mints - they are a safe and popular, and any likeness with an illegal substance is unintentional.”
