Tasmanian teachers are resisting pressure to drop a planned boycott of national literacy and numeracy testing. The union is at loggerheads with Julia Gillard, the federal Education Minister, who is urging other states to follow Western Australia after a ruling in the Industrial Commission there led to teachers agreeing to the tests.
