(Photograph) - A new generation is learning to play one of the world’s oldest board games to raise funds for pupils in Africa. A national schools’ Oware competition, sponsored by ‘The TES’, will be held this month at London’s Commonwealth Institute. The mathematics game originated in Africa at least 5,000 years ago and is similar to draughts.
