PE CENTRAL. http:pe.central.vt.edu.
This Web site, published by a health education project in the United States, has been designed for PE teachers and students, with ideas for lessons, activities and assessment. Although the language and curriculum links are geared towards an American audience, there are stacks of ideas here which will probably survive the translation.
The lessons ideas section has lists of types of exercises and games, divided into age groups, that are intended to keep children’s interest long enough for them to have some beneficial effect. The exercises are grouped under headings such as jumping and landing, throwing and catching, fitness, striking and co-operative learning.
As well as PE exercises (including a selection of “instant activity ideas”) there are also suggestions for health education lessons.
