<p>This is a collection of 8 lessons which teach children how to write a persuasive speech about the dangers of climate change.<br /> Children create a TEDX talk linked to COP28 held in UAE. This can eaisly be adapted to link to other events globally.<br /> The speech is structured to encourage children and adults to make a change.</p> <p>Lesson 1 - Immersion<br /> Lesson 2 - Reading lesson about different issues that impact climate change such as farming, transport, biodiversity etc (Twinkl texts not included but can be downloaded)<br /> Lesson 3 - Features structure of speech<br /> Lesson 4 - AFORESTPIE language features of speech<br /> Lesson 5 - Planning<br /> Lesson 6 - Write introduction<br /> Lesson 7 - Write Main Points<br /> Lesson 8 - Write final call to action and conclusion</p> <p>**There is also a stuck station which will link to Seesaw with word mats and videos to support writing. **</p> <p>Each writing lesson is supported by a WAGOLL which focuses on AFORESTPIE language features.</p>
