Studio Module 5 3,2,1 partez. Unit of work collaborative group tasks and itinerary

(0)

This unit of work is based on Studio 1 Module 5 and will take approx 3-4 weeks to complete depending how many lessons you have timetabled. The initial powerpoint Tour du Monde introduces key vocabulary for describing countries and their capital cities. The 321Partez powerpoint introduces key language features required in Module 5 such as reflexive verbs, the Passé Composé, regular group verbs in past present and simple figure tenses, and adjectives to describe destinations and holidays. Following the ‘priming’ phase, the second half of the unit is a collaborative group challenge. Each group selects a francophone country then work together completing a series of tasks resulting in their final ‘product’, a holiday itinerary to their chosen destination, including a packing list and suggested cultural activities. Add or edit the activities to suit your class and abilities. Great resource for differentiated learning. Let me know if you need another file format.

Mon Ordi et mon portable Studio 1 Module 3

These cue cards are a speaking resource to support the study of Studio 1 Module 3 unit 1, Mon Ordi et Mon Portable. They combine technology activities with frequencies. To play clones, make 2 or 3 sets and distribute - students interact asking and answering questions until they find their clone. Page 1 is one set of 9, page 2 is a second set of 9, each one differing in one or two details so students need to interact as much as possible to find their clone- I have found it works best if they ask questions in random order. For a smaller class or group, just one set of page 1 cards can be used as a simple speaking activity asking and answering questions. great for developing confidence and speaking skills. Please dont forget to leave a comment below, thank you :)

A resource to help students have a conversation with a classmate about crêpes, their opinions and favorite fillings. TchatteMats are a resource I create to encourage more spoken interactions between students. The support mats encourage simple interactions, on a theme, with additional vocabulary on the following page. Student select responses from options and gradually become confident enough to create their own conversations more spontaneously.

Enchanté. Differentiated speaking lesson to encourage peer to peer conversations and interactions

(1)
Get your students talking to each other and introducing themselves more naturally. This TchatteMat resource is a useful support to encourage peer to peer conversations. Students chat about themselves and find out what they have in common with each other. The differentiated levels allow for very simple, more developed and extended conversations. Students simply pick and choose which questions they ask and answer with different speaking partners. Page 2 has some suggested responses if they are wanted/needed as a starter. I have made this a PDF in case you have trouble opening the Pages file.

Studio Module 4 My home town reading task

This reading task is largely based on Studio Module 4, Ma Zone, with some additional vocabulary included. It can easily be adapted as a comparison with your own hometown if you wish by modifying the sentences. There is some comparative language as the focus is on comparing the two towns and contrasting features. Students use their language and cultural knowledge to establish meaning from the text and respond to comprehension questions . It provides great differentiation if you have students who need extending and challenging, as well as lots of simpler content to ensure everyone can achieve. If you require a different file format let me know. Merci!
