They can bid for each statement. If the statement is correct they win the points. If it isn't they just lose the money. Winners have most points. Make sure to assign the role of bidder in each group or they will all bid and it turns into a mess!!

This is an abolutely amazing revision game! Was shown it during an EAL course. Each group has to chose 1 bidder - you will only take bids from that person or it becomes chaos. The students have 1 min to decide whether they believe that the statement is TRUE or FALSE. If they believe it is TRUE then they bid for the statement. If the statement is true then students win the points (still loose the money) If it is false then they loose the money and get no points. Make sure your speedy and fast - like a real auction! This is project I started... not 100% completed as you can see by the lesson 5 slide and the SoW needs some work. BUT I thought this might help anyone who might be in the situation I was in with a difficult year 9 class that was not doing GCSE. It covers l'argent de poche, the imperative, j'ai besoin de... and some other topics. I gave each student booklet to go with the presentations. The lessons progress with the movie which can be found on youtube. Just type: Yamakasi full movie.
