Blurb Matching Activity
I have created this resource to tie in with a greater in-school development on reading.
This is a simple activity in which you cut up the book cover from its blurb and the children have to re-match them...this is not too challenging for many children as key words give many of them away, but it leads on to great discussions about what makes a good blurb, what powerful language can be used, why some books don't need a &'great&'; blurb because the author's name will sell copies anyway etc...
The PDF should be ready to print in terms of alignment etc whereas the word version is editable.
