This lesson looks at setting and how to create an eerie description and culminates in students redrafting an extract using devices they look at earlier in the lesson.

A PowerPoint that begins with some cold writing and then at each step students create sentences with a different technique in them and finally redraft their original piece. I printed off the images too so that you’re not reliant on everyone being able to see the board.
