An IDL project on the circus. This lesson focuses on what it would be like growing up in the circus. A comparison study between a child in the classes life to that of a child in the circus. <br /> <br /> Learning Intention:<br /> To understand what it may be like growing up in the circus.<br /> To discuss and identify advantages and disadvantages to growing up in the circus.<br /> <br /> Success Criteria:<br /> -As I listen and watch, I can take note of key facts.<br /> -I can share my ideas and opinions.<br /> -I can list some advantages and disadvantages.<br /> -I can work well in a social group and independently.<br /> <br /> Looks at background, families, the job, education, advantages and disadvantages. A little clip from the infamous scene in dumbo to give children a little context.<br /> <br /> Follow up activity created on publisher, asks children to give 2 examples of advantages/disadvantages and using the BAR key from Ryan's thinking keys to enhance creative thinking.
