<p>This resource is to help children think of different scenarios where they discuss and explain how to stay safe while using the Internet.</p> <p>There are 5 questions and then an open ended questions so it is differentiated. I have used it as a whole class and paired activity.</p>

<p>This resource has 3 differentiated tasks. It can be tailored for your class as the children can do the basic skills in Excel such as the Sum function. You can also use it to teach conditional formatting or If function.</p> <p>I have added a video from you tube that explains how to do conditional formatting if you are new to Excel.</p>

<p>The objective of the lesson is to be able to format a spreadsheet by outlining the borders and changing the color of text. The task progresses to using the * multiplying and the / to divide to perform calculations.</p>

<p>This resource has 6 activities that will help your students understand conditional formatting in a fun way. All the tasks are in one spreadsheet which will also give students an opportunity to navigate within the spreadsheet.</p>

<p>I have created this resource to help my students apply what they have learnt based on Book Day. They have to create a reading list and work out the cost of their books using formulas and functions. More advanced students can use Goal Seek to find a value to meet a budget and create a chart to present their completed spreadsheet. The lesson fits with a series of lesson or stand alone. You can adapt it for your purpose.</p>
