12 Mark Question Revision Guide

(1)
This is a resource aimed at helping pupils to improve their scores in 12 mark questions in the AQA Religious Studies GCSE. It is intended to be used either in class or for homework, once per week.

Pupils complete a question, are encouraged to review it and the teacher gives one targeted piece of feedback, to be integrated to the next attempt. This takes the hassle out of setting home work and really gets pupils to think carefully about their skills and progress.

It has questions in it aimed at AQA Christianity and Islam, with themes B, C, D & E but could EASILY be configured to match your religion and theme choice.

I have been using this now for more than five years and the impact on pupil scores has been excellent. Especially good for HoDs working with non-specialists who need guidance and structure. It includes the mark scheme, a model answer and tips for pushing for the top band scores.

This is an excellent resource aimed at improving pupils knowledge of the religious teachings needed to score a 9 in the new AQA GCSE.

It gives essential quotations in once place for:
+Christianity Beliefs and Practices
+Islam Beliefs and Practices
+Themes B, C, D and E from Christian and Muslim perspectives (apart from theme C which requires atheist views.

My pupils have this as the indispensable resource for improvement and have it alongside them whenever they are answering questions. Part of the strength is that they need to engage with the quotations/teachings by explaining what they mean and how they relate to the topics. Essential for 8 and 9 grades.

I have been using this for more than five years, across various specifications, to great effect.
