A quick way of engaging students as soon as they enter the classroom. Four ratio analysis calculations based on an extract from an AQA past paper. Answers are on the last two slides - this can create discussion and recaps about these methods. Can be adapted for different questions.
Can be printed, cut into two and laminated. Includes the various key terms used for the same meaning and the formulae for them. Aimed at the Year 2 students of the linear A Level programme.
A game to be used to recap the key features and formulae involved in the AS Finance topics of cash flow forecasting, budgeting and break-even analysis. <br />
Split class into three teams<br />
Allocate each group a finance topic (use paper/card with this heading to match the slide with instructions)<br />
One copy of blank cards printed and cut out (x21)<br />
All cards mixed up and either placed at the front or stuck around the room (if you want students moving)<br />
Teams to collect their 7 cards, fill in the gaps and stick them on their designated wall/board by their coloured header<br />
Teacher checks answers<br />
First team with all 7 correctly filled in wins<br />
All students can have a copy of the PP showing correct answers to the blanks (in red) and colour coded to match slide to be shown during the game
A general business quiz based on recent news stories. 10 questions with two options - A or B. Students to all stand up and hold an A and a B card. For each question, students hold up the card they believe shows the correct answer. If they are wrong they sit down. Those standing up continue until there is only one left - the winner!<br />
