This lesson is for Edexcel’s Paper 1; Medicine in Britain, c.1250 to present. Students will learn about the conditions stretcher bearers had to endure while trying to collect the wounded & the dying form no-man’s land (as part of the first stage in the evacuation chain). Students will study sources & answer an exam-style question.
