This SOW is designed to help KS3 students develop the skills they will need when they come to study the poetry clusters for the GCSE 9-1 in literature. The lessons build up to an assessed essay comparing how relationships between parents and children are presented in 'Mother any Distance' and 'My Father Thought it' by Simon Armitage.
