A revision PPT going through A2 Language Paper 1, focusing on the Paris Anthology, The Handmaid’s Tale and Duffy poetry ONLY.

A model intro, main paragaph and conclusion are provided for each of the three texts, alongside colour coded AOs.

This PPT should not teach students anything new but provides a good reminder for what’s important for each question.

A revision lesson that provides a range of quotations for the seven major characters, along with activities for students to practise their creative writing. There are also some revision slides on motifs and symbols - elements that can be written into the creative writing section quite often - and a suggested structure for the critical commentary. On the final slide is a practice question for students to apply their skills and knowledge to.

A resource designed to allow students to analyse the components of a model answer and apply it to their own creative writing.
This can be bought as part of a package as well.
A lesson looking at the AOs and the terminology students needs to know for the AQA English Language/Literature exam, focusing specifically on the final text in the Paris anthology - 'Eating in Paris'.
An introduction to the Unseen Poetry section of AQA's new Literature specification where students answer a question on 'The Clown Punk' and then examine a model answer. This lesson is also available as part of a mini scheme of work.

A series of lessons that revolve around The Missing Series 2, covering genre, representations, audiences and industries. THIS CSP IS NOT CURRENT.

A PPT which introduces the four different narrative voices, along with an activity based on a Harry Potter dementor scene where students explore the different effects.

A lesson which focuses on the last part of Act One where Sheila’s actions with regards to Eva Smith are revealed. Some reading, debates and a little introduction to different theoretical concepts are included.

An introduction to the Unseen Poetry section of AQA's new Literature specification where students annotate Brian Patten's 'Gust becos i cud not spell' and then consider how their interpretations relate to a range of evaluative statements. This lesson is also available as part of a mini scheme of work.

A lesson with two practice questions included: one on an unseen advert, as is typical of the Paper 1 exam at A2, and one comparing this unseen advert to the Score Hair Cream Advert.

Model answers and mark schemes are included - depending on student ability, teachers can either show the answer to students first and get them to write their own, or the other way round if students are more independent.

A mini SOW (at least five lessons) that covers the Industry section of AQA’s CSP on Chicken. THIS IS NO LONGER A CURRENT CSP.

There is a part of this that involves students watching the film which AQA say is not necessarily required but this is easily taken out of the SOW if teachers do not want or need it.
