The first section of the SOW deals with the unseen portion of the exam and valuable poetry skills needed to explore the anthology. There is an emphasis on exposing students to as much poetry as possible in order to improve their ability to read and understand the form. <br />

I have used the A3 word document with a top set year 11 class. They were asked to read through the source information and summarise what they have learnt. This was developed by asking students to compare with modern values and attitudes. <br />
