Fractions of Amounts Worksheet

This is a resource for primary level students who have learned about fractions of amounts.

It has a fully worked example at the top of the page, using a "Bar Method" style of explanation, which should then be applied to complete the worksheet.

It has been hand-drawn, as I usually find that I can't do what I want to a satisfactory level using a computer - so forgive the "rustic" nature of the product.

I hope you find it useful!

This has the potential to be used as a regular starter activity for primary children.

I am using it with my low-ability Year 6 class, but it would work equally well for Year 5 to Year 7 if desired.

I'm not good with publisher, so it's a little "shabby chic" in being handrawn, but this way I have tried to make sure I cover specific elements of basic maths that the children could do with practicing daily.

I hope you find it helpful too!

Missing Lengths & Perimeters - LA Year 6

So, just a “rustic” handmade resource for lower ability Year 6 (or even 5 and 7) on finding and filling in missing lengths and perimeters of simple shapes and three compound shapes (only rectangular).

There’s a blank and white version and then a colour version in the PDF file.

Nothing fancy, honestly. Enjoy!
