<p>16 week whole class guided reading detailed planning and resources for chapters 1 - 14 of book. Based on completing one lesson per week or 8 week plans if two lessons are completed a week. Planning and powerpoint slides for all lessons included. Used for my Year 4 class but could be used for Y3/5 or 6.</p> <p>After chapter 14 book was used for story time at the end of each day.</p> <p>Some activities reference the ‘Read &amp; Respond’ book but alternatives are given if you do not have that resource.</p> <p>Please enjoy this fantastic story and I hope you enjoy my planning and activities.</p>

<p>7 week plan (word document) containing 1 hour lessons aimed at Year 3&amp;4 Islam R.E covering the following overall objectives:<br /> Identify religious aretefacts, how and why they are used.<br /> Describe religious buildings and explain how they are used.<br /> Explain some of the religious practices of both clerics and individuals.</p> <p>Each weekly objective is below.<br /> Week 1 – Getting better at identifying and labelling features of a Mosque.<br /> Week 2 – Getting better at understanding the features of a Mosque.<br /> Week 3 – Getting better at understanding how Muslims prepare for prayer.<br /> Week 4 – Getting better at investigating why pilgrimages are important.<br /> Week 5 – Getting better at investigating and comparing different religious pilgrimages.<br /> Week 6 – Getting better at understanding the beliefs of the Muslim community.<br /> Week 7 – Getting better at understanding how Muslims pass on their beliefs to their children.</p> <p>Links included in document to relevant videos and all work as of February 2022.<br /> <em>Some</em> resources included that I have made all word or SMART notebook - some are not included but can be downloaded from Twinkl.</p>
