<p>Created in response to lockdown, but designed to be a classroom teaching tool too.<br /> The booklet contains 7 weeks worth of work based on Poems from Other Cultures (legacy specifications) suitable for KS3. Poems included: Two Scavengers, Island Man, Half-Caste, Nothing’s Changed, Presents from my Aunts in Pakistan, Blessing, Night of the Scorpion.</p> <p>Each poem begins with a ‘starter’ activity, followed by tasks related to the content of the poem, the language used and a Challenging thinking question.<br /> The booklet is differentiated so that there are extension and Challenge tasks, hopefully making it suitable for all abilities in one handy workbook.</p> <p>There is also a helpful glossary of key poetic terms at the end of the booklet.</p> <p>Disclaimer: some sections of the booklet have been adapted from resources in my archives (author unknown) and are not my originals - no copyright infringement is intended. All images are taken from those available via Google images.</p>

<p>Created in response to lockdown, but can be used as a classroom resource too.</p> <p>Individual workbooks and chapters for the novella ‘Of Mice and Men’.</p> <p>Each workbook contains a range of activities to guide students through the novella, assessing comprehension, language analysis and including some general contextual information. The tasks are differentiated with Challenge task, to hopefully engage all pupils in the year group.<br /> There are 12 weeks worth of work in total - this can be adapted by removing certain tasks.</p> <p>Disclaimer: while the majority of the booklets are my own original documents, small sections of some booklets are adapted from resources found in my archives (author unknown) - no copy infringement is intended.</p>

Students are asked to consider the morality of the decisions Theseus makes, as well as consider some general comprehension tasks.<br /> The booklet was originally created for remote learning.<br /> A more scaffolded version is also included for lower ability students.</p> <p>The version of the story is borrowed and freely available through other online sources.</p>
