It is intended for this to be printed, trimmed and glued in students’ books.</p> <p>Included is a short summary, characters and what they represent, regularly occuring motifs and methods and big ideas and context</p> <p>The 4 set texts are:</p> <p>A Christmas Carol,<br /> Romeo and Juliet,<br /> An Inspector Calls,<br /> Power and Conflict poetry.</p> <p>The resource is editable for practitioners who do a slightly different combination of set texts.</p>

<p>A personalised learning checklist that allows students to RAG rate themselves against the key skills in English Language and Literature. The resource is purposely stripped back to ensure it does not become a chore for students to do and that it can be done indepedently.</p>

While future SATs will be have different briefs, this example may provide some inspiration and reassurance as to what BPN and other NPQSL providers are looking for in this final part of the qualification. The resources can be adapted for other Literature texts, however.</p>

<p>This lesson on writer’s structure was used as part of a successful interview process for HoD for a KS3 class.</p> <p>It includes checking prior knowledge, recall, scaffolding and extension activities.</p>
