Template report structure for Unit 2 - Developing a Marketing Campaign

(1)

Here are a couple of templates that students can use to help them plan out the Unit 2 - Developing a Marketing Campaign documents they have to create in the exam. The second report links to a student’s class notes about the 7Ps of the Marketing Mix, which I have included.

Previous Examiner reports have recommended that students create 2 documents rather than one, hence why i’ve done Report 1 and Report 2.

Reviews are appreciated, especially if you have any suggestions for improvement.

Adjustments for Accruals and Pre-payments explained

(1)

This is a resource to hopefully help explain Accruals and Pre-payments for BTEC Level 3 Business students who are studying for the ‘Unit 3 - Personal and Business Finance exam’.

It contains a slide with screenshots of a couple of previous exam questions to show what they may realistically be asked to do in the exam.

There is also a full worked example of how to update both the ‘Statement of Comprehensive Income’ (abbreviated to SOCI) and the Statement of Financial Position (abbreviated to SOFP).

I created this to help get my head round it and provide better support to the students than the typically unclear stuff they get in the Pearson book.

Feel free to change and share this resources as you wish and let me know if there are any errors/updates I need to sort out.

C2 - The Marketing Mix (Pricing strategies) Tesla v Polestar Case Study

(1)

I’m using this for the Unit 2 - Developing a Marketing Campaign (BTEC L3 Business). The idea is that they use the data supplied (along with other data they have found, if you are in a computer room) to support their answers.

Before I gave them this I taught my class the Price element of the 7Ps, including the 4 pricing strategies (Penetration, Competitor-based, Cost-plus and Skimming).

This is simply a load of information about the electric car market in the UK and how Tesla compare with Polestar, along with some questions at the bottom of the case study.

We discussed the 2nd question together and the class came up with a number of points regarding Tesla’s successful marketing strategy.

Feel free to do what you want with this.
