Aims to help children to decode words using Fred in their head, leading up to being able to read the words from the story books speedily. Pupils need to be able to read these words speedily in order to move up to purple level.
Words appear on green background. A timer has been set to show the word, in a small font, for 3 seconds allowing children to use Fred in their Head. Then it enlarges to a bigger font for 1 second, allowing pupils to read it out loud.
