Worksheet I have made using giraffes to help pupils understand natural selection better. To be used in conjunction with textbooks. Credit to Longman's worksheet where I adapted it from.
I have made this resource for my low ability Y10 class who are struggling with the difference between pyramids of numbers and biomass. Use the grids on the powerpoint to help the pupils draw their pyramids and also explain what is happening.

I have made this resource to help students understand exactly what is needed for their IGCSE exams. There are questions based on each point of the specification so that it is broken down into short manageable sections so that pupils know exactly what the specification wants them to know and understand.

I hope that you enjoy this resource.

This is an activity where the pupils have to go around the room and try to complete ther carbon cycle worksheet at the end slides of the powerpoint. The pupils have to draw the carbon cycle from the fragments of the carbon cycle that you will have put around the room. They need to also make notes around the side of the worksheet using the information sheets that would be around the room as well.
This can be adapted for other classes. Uses the AQA specifications. Use the worksheet in conjunction with the powerpoint. I have adapted this from other powerpoints added on here already. Thank you to those contributors.

This resource I have made so that pupils can practice their exam technique and also understand what is needed in mark schemes for each part of the specification.

I have tried to find as many questions that relate to the specification as possible. There are still a few gaps here and there but I intend to complete this resource as time goes by.

There is a mark scheme available for every question but for some reason in the mark scheme there are some random one or two letters missing from some words and you will have to guess what they are. For the most part it is pretty easy to work out.

I have made 5 other parts to this resource - section 2 of the specification has been split into two parts as it is a very big section

Please let me know what you think of this resource.
Many thanks

This is the for the old specification. I have new booklets for the new 9-1 IGCSE Biology specification.

This is a resource that I am creating for my Biology pupils to help them with their revision. I have made questions for every line of the specification to help the pupils understand what is on the specification and to help them focus with their revision.

Booklet 1 covers sections 1 & 2, and booklet 2 covers sections 3, 4, & 5.

I hope this helps you. Please leave any feedback if you have any suggestions on how to improve it or how you have changed it to suit your needs.

Instructions for taking cuttings and a keyword bank for lower ability students. The pupils have to compare the differences between sexual and asexual reproduction.
Quick and simple worksheet for variation within a class. it doesn't have many environmental characteristics on it. Have used this with my low ability class and it helped them.
This resource goes through the AQA specification and asks questions based on it. I have used this in class as revision lesson material. The pupils need to use their textbooks and/or revision guides to help them answer the questions.

Welcome to the Absolutely Pointless Science Quiz, this was used in my school for science week. This resource is based on the BBC quiz show ‘Pointless’. The students all enjoyed playing this game. This would be great for an end of term quiz for Easter or Summer.

There are 18 categories covering all three sciences and some science fiction as well.

All the slides are hyperlinked with extra animations. To play the game you click on the round that you want to play; the students take it in turns to answer one of the questions. When they have chosen their answer click on the question to reveal the answer. If they got it correct then click on the answer to play the animation to see how many points they got. The fewer points they get, the better the score.

This is a resource that I have heavily modified from a pointless quiz found on TES. I have added new sound effects, many more rounds and questions.

I used our KS3 physics books for the info but can easily be the internet. The pupils describe and draw 2 different types of orbit.
The beginning of the lesson I demonstrated centripetal force using a tennis ball attached to a weight. The rope attaching the tennis ball to the weight needs to be about 1 - 1.5m long and you have to have a hollow handle. Swing the tennis ball around and the force of the ball moving will lift up the weight through the tube. This demonstrates the affect of gravity on an object and the speed at which something has to orbit to maintain it's orbit.

I made these 6 mark model answers to help the pupils with their examination technique. There is a 1 mark, 3 mark and 5 mark model answer. I have also included a master copy if you would like to make your own model answer.
