Using ‘cheques’ pupils will write numbers in words and digits. The bank notes worksheet allows pupils to use the < > = sign to compare amounts of money.
Pupils must prove/disprove the statement ‘The older the person, the taller they are’. They must calculate each pupil’s age, then measure their height. They could then plot this on a graph for an extension task.
Pupils are given a budget and must design a town by purchasing various items (e.g. traffic lights, level crossings, give way signs, etc). Good for problem solving, addition, as well as an understanding of road safety.
