This document is a step by step guide to assist students with completig their coursework for the new GCSE specification. If gives ideas about content that needs to be included and also has the breakdown to assist them in self assessment.

New coursework is 15 marks for the strengths and weaknesses analysis and 10 marks for the students evaluation.

An incredibly helpful mark sheet tool for teachers to effectively track and monitor students progress for the new 8582 AQA GCSE PE specification and predict final grades for the summer. You need to enter the following information;

1. Three best sport scores added to the table broken down as skill (10) and full context (15).
2. The performance analysis score broken down as strengths and weaknesses (15) and evaluation (10).
3. Their two PPE / Mock grade scores out of 78.
4. This will then calculate, according to last year’s grade boundaries and UMS marks their combined theoretical and practical grade and tell you how many marks each student is away from the next grade up.

An unlimited number of students can be added.

This document proved to be an invaluable tool when predicting summer grades in the last few years with the linear AQA specification.

I have not protected the worksheet so if you wish to alter the grade boundaries you can.

This powerpoint has 5, 10, 30 second timers as well as 1, 2, 5, 10 and 20 minute timers that work as a visual reminder to students when completing exam questions or quick fire tasks in lessons.
I am really keen to get my students to sit 8 mark exam questions but feel like I do too much to then tell them what they are doing wrong rather than they find out for themselves. So I am now using this! :-)

I get the students to sit the exam question / then either peer or self assess using the mark scheme and then complete this sheet. They then tell me what they need to do to improve - AO1/AO2/AO3 etc.
A really useful tool that will help students and teachers identify areas for development from recent exams. It indicates, by colour coding (red/amber/green) , where individual students or groups of students need support/intervention and allows self assessment by students (can be used in tandem with the self evaluation sheet that are in my resources).

It can be used for full exams and smaller tests and can have as many students recorded as necessary.
Before students can embrace a growth mindset, you have to explain and convince staff and if possible parents/guardians or it simply won't work if there is no 'buy in'.
