An evaluative double lesson based on the successfulness of coastal management strategy looking to answer the question "Should we invest in our coastlines or let them retreat?". All resources used have been attached.

A double lesson introducing different coastal management strategies, I used the AQA geography textbook (2016) to support the activities but could be used with other information. All resources I used are included.

<p>Used for a lesson with a low ability year 8 class. Exploring life in Kenya, comparing Nairobi to Kibera, looking at rural and urban areas and how quality of life differs between these locations. All resources required are on the PPT.</p>

<p>Lesson overviews for each section of Unit 2 Section A - Urban Issues and Challenges for AQA GCSE Geography (New Specification) including the subheading, what students need to know and a practice exam question which can be used for homework or in the lesson.</p> <p>Uses case studies from the Oxford and Hodder textbooks including Lagos, Bristol and Freiburg.</p>

<p>Two-part GCSE Geography coastal landform lessons exploring the advantages and disadvantages of Managed Retreat, second part includes Medmerry case study and exam style questions.</p>

<p>Used to assess progress of mixed ability year 11 group alongside past papers. Could be completed in a lesson, as homework or as revision. Original and differentiated copy included alongside mark scheme.</p>

<p>KS4 lesson exploring coastal landforms specifically focused on caves, arches and stacks. There is a practical aspect to this lesson including play dough to create models of the landforms with instructions and examples. I have included an exit ticket I also used with my classes to show their level of understanding and how they worked together in groups.</p>

<p>KS3 Introduction to Global North-South Divide lesson, explanation of key terms and activities included. All resources included except blank world map which can be easily printed from Google.</p>
