<p>A story about a dragon called Spike. In the format of a paragraph per page with quesitons below each paragraph.</p>
<p>Ideal for year 2 children who are working at age related or slightly below.</p>
<p>Simple sentence matching - match the sentence to the picture Arctic themed. I’ve been using these with my year 2 children who are still working on the year 1 curriculum but would be suitable for eyfs or year 1,</p>
<p>3 lots of Arctic word problems, The red ones are simple problems that children can do mentally or with a number line. The other 2 resources require children to use column addition. Arctic themed.</p>
<p>Ideal to review column addition or to have as a choosing activity. Year 1 will be able to do the orange and yellow/ red questions and year 2 will be able to do any of the questions. The year 2 ones are ideal for those at age related.</p>
<p>Questions based on the Dragonsitter series (Book 1). I will add to this resources further as I make more resources for my class.</p>
<p>Have been using this for year 2 GD and ones who are age related but confident readers with an emphasis on inference.</p>
<p>Year 2 non-fiction diary comprehension for those at age related or below. My class really enjoyed this over the course of a week and learnt lots of new vocab.</p>
<p>The story is all on one page and then the questions afterwards in the style of sats paper 2. Tried to include suspense so I could talk with my class about the author intent of this.</p>
<p>Suitable for those age related of above. Dairy entry is just under a a4 page long and then there are questions. The questions lasted my class a week as we did about 5 a day.</p>

<p>Very simple, for children working on the year 1 curriculum, lots of pictures which give clues to what the text might say and very simple retrieval questions,</p>
<p>A series of Robin Hood facts on arrows. They are ideal if you are doing a topic on Robin Hood and can be stuck up in the corridor, on a display etc. I used them in the shared area/ corridor so children could do a Robin Hood fact hunt and so they could answer comprehension questions related to Robin Hood.</p>

<p>Both sets of questions allow children to learn how to use a key.</p>
<p>Ideal for any primary age although I have been using it for year 2 geography.</p>

<p>Soup recipe and comprehension questions are suited to age related or slightly below age related year 2.</p>
<p>5 example Riddles about Dragons. The blue and green ones contain more alliteration and more technincal vocab.</p>
<p>There is also a toolkit to help children to write thier own.</p>
<p>Ideal for key stage 1. I used it with key stage 2 as an intervention at first and also with the whole class to write thier own riddles. After this we then went on to write Christmas riddles etc.</p>
<p>2 resources which can be used either in guided reading, as a whole class or just for 1 or 2 groups at a time.</p>
<p>Both resources provide an introduction to the Arctic.</p>
<p>Green and blue resource is more focused on igloos, what they are and how to build them followed by a short story related to building an igloo. This resource is aimed at year 2 children who are working at age related. The 2 types if text contained within one booklet are reminiscent of what they will encounter in SATS.</p>
<p>Orange and yellow resource is focused more on arctic animals and gives a few facts about each animal. The information is arranged into paragrapghs and children can then answer questions about what they have read in the paragraph. This resource is aimed at high ability year 1 children or year 2 children who are working around 1d or 1s.</p>
<p>2 lots of The Lost Polar Bear comprehension</p>
<p>The orange and yellow version is split into paragraphs and kept quite repetitive. Questions after each paragraph. It would suit high abilty year 1 and year 2 children who are working between 1d and 1s.</p>
<p>The blue and green version is the same story, still contains some repetitive elements but I have tried to include more technical vocab and include questions which will challenge age related year 2 children.</p>
<p>Super simple comprehension questions based on books on red band/ pink bank/ yellow band.</p>
<p>4 books - I Can Fly, Pandas, On the Go and Sid and Zak.</p>
<p>5 questions for each book. My low ability year 2’s read the book on the first day and the complete the comprehension questions on the second day.</p>
<p>I made up this little story for my year 2 class and we completed a page of the comprehension each day. The children really enjoyed this little story and it is appropriate for those at age related or slightly below.</p>
