EYFS Size Ordering
A simple powerpoint to encourage EYFS children to talk about and compare size. It asks the children to sort the various pictures (which follow children's interests/Goldilocks theme) into size order. It is easily adaptable to suit your own class needs and can be easily differentiated.
The children are asked to simply drag the pictures into the correct order and are then given a practical task to complete. I print out the size ordering arrows to support the children when ordering.
EYFS SSM areas covered:
Begins to use the language of size (22-36 months)
Orders two or three items by length or height (40-60 months)
Children use everyday language to talk about and compare size (GLD)
Other areas such as C&L and PSED can be covered depending on how the adult leading the session runs it.
