Compiled from a range of sources, this workbook covers most of the skills required for the AQA GCSE Geography exam.

There are a number of questions included to assess understanding.
A worksheet (comprehension + questions) looking at deforestation in the rainforest. It includes reasons for it and what can be done about it. Prepared for Year 7 but could be used with older pupils.
Pupils use an atlas or the internet to complete 4 separate worksheets. The challenges include: continents; countries and capitals; physical features; locations in the UK. I give them as homework and then give pupils a quiz at the start of the next lesson. These are the kind of building blocks that help pupils later on with 'describe the pattern' style questions. They are also &'just good general knowledge&';.
A worksheet for pupils to complete at the end of the globalisation topic to check they have understood each section of the specification.

I completed some sections for the pupils as a guide to content.

My pupils completed this on computer so I simply emailed them a copy and they used notes/textbook to complete.

NOTE: most of my resources are available free. There are a small number I am charging for. ALL money earned on these will be donated to MacMillan Cancer.
These sheets can be given to pupils to complete in class (just delete the end column) or as revision support.

They contain key facts to help focus on including more detail in responses.

Case Studies include:

Population - China & Indonesia
Tourism - Blackpool, Mass Tourism in Pattaya, Adventure Tourism in Antarctica and Ecotourism in Gambia.
This revision guide closely follows the AQA A GCSE Geography Specification for the topic: Tourism.

It can be used to create case study resources for a class; printed as an A4 size booklet; or emailed to a class to supplement revision.
An assembly to help pupils reflect on how their actions might be received by others.

An encouragement to try and see things from another person's perspective.
Worksheets created for Yr 7 but could be used with older pupils. Two worksheets - 'M' for middle ability and 'H' in the bottom right for High ability. The worksheets require pupils to label the main features and then fill in the blanks to outline how U-shaped valleys form.
After an AQA GCSE inset I made a note of the key pieces of advice offered.

I have used these in the course of a revision lesson and also emailed to pupils to look through.
Linking the way organisations build their brands to the way people build brands. Encouraging pupils to think about the way their actions contribute to creating their personal brand and reputation. A brand that will prove crucial when writing an end of term report, a university reference or picking school prefects.
A worksheet for KS3 looking at different people who have an interest in a lake in the Lake District. Pupils need to consider the different uses they have, what impacts they might have and how competing interests require tough decisions to be made.
An article taken from the Guardian outlining the journey taken by a pair of Lee Cooper Jeans to a Madhouse store.

Activities included with article (coding of key aspects of globalisation) as well as additional worksheet.
A series of resources to help teach the salt marsh section of the AQA GCSE specification on coasts. Includes:

- Map of Titchwell Marsh
- Resource containing articles on Titchwell
- Task questions to complete using resource and textbook
- A revision activity to check understanding
With the Controlled Assessment taking a great deal of teaching time, I pulled together this workbook to introduce our pupils to the topics covered. Pupils completed an activity per week for homework whilst doing their Controlled Assessment in class. This workbook then provided the framework for teaching the Restless Earth topic.

NOTE: activities refer to the Nelson Thornes textbook pages.
Although not exhaustive, this document contains most of the words my pupils spell incorrectly on a regular basis. I have these words displayed on my classroom wall.

(NOTE: I found it rather ironic that I had to check whether it should be 'misspelt' or 'misspelled'!)
These are displayed at the front of my classroom:

A) 2 Acronyms
1. PEEL - helps pupils develop their points
2. STEEP - helps pupils think about possible impacts and responses to events

B) Developing statements
Help pupils develop their sentences further. Encouraging use of these in answers helps pupils improve the quality of responses.
