My Year 8 students loved this macabre short story, and it is a brilliant KS3 read for schools who study ‘Jekyll and Hyde’ at GCSE. This is a small collection of resources to use as you read the story, with scaffolded tasks involving analysis, drama and discussion.

These Powerpoints will guide you through teaching the whole of ‘Of Mice and Men’. The tasks include: discussion language analysis differentiated tasks finding and using textual evidence exploring context drama and role play creative writing AQA English Language section B style tasks I had real success teaching this (I only sell tried and tested resources). The students engaged with the issues and found the tasks challenging but well scaffolded as necessary. I taught this to mixed ability Year 9, but it could work for any KS3 group. You literally will not need to produce/plan anything for six weeks or more if you buy this. I spent days making these, then tweaking them as I taught the lessons, so they are good quality (I have been teaching for 16 years) and ready to use.
