<p>This assembly discusses Black History Month in the UK.</p> <p>Aim - To embrace diversity and unity<br /> Through –</p> <p>Promoting knowledge and understanding of black history and culture, both nationally and locally.</p> <p>Acknowledging and celebrating the contributions made by black people to the cultural and economic development of the UK.</p> <p>Heightening the confidence and awareness of black people to their cultural heritage.</p> <p>This assembly is used in a Christian school and so has a biblical story related to the theme but this could be omitted.</p>
