The following creative literacy activity is a stand-alone poetry lesson that I taught during my teacher training. It was rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the teaching assessor. It is designed to recap poetic devices, such as alliteration, onomatopoeia, etc., as well as bring some creativity and fun into the classroom! It should last one hour.
