<p>This is a simple version of the nativity story which I use with nativity flashcards I put on a couple of years ago and we do actions for each of the key words before we look at the play eg hand out to the side as though holding staff for Joseph. Hands together in inverted v for the stable etc There is also a song Petit Jesus that I put on a couple of years ago that sings to the tune of Frere Jacques which brings in all the nativity characters.</p>

I had previously submitted the song and the worksheet but this has the error removed. I would introduce the flashcards and vocabulary first and play usual flashcard games .Song to tune of frere Jacques.

Make a tree or other background shape and blutack the laminated cards number side showing on the tree. Each day allow a child to find the right card for the date and turn it over and so introduce a new item of Christmas vocabulary. The cards could also just be used as flashcards or if printed without the words they could be blutacked on board in 3 rows of 3 to play noughts and crosses</p>

A series of pics with fish with a number in French with plus and minus signs between. The children have to read the numbers in French and add/ subtract as required and come to a total answer. I also got the children to make their own on the final sheet and these can then be passed around amongst other children.
