GCSE Writing Questions - Spanish HIGHER

(9)

I’ve pulled out the writing questions from the 2018 AQA higher writing paper and put them on ppt with their corresponding answers given by AQA in the markscheme as indicative content, though it might be useful to see what AQA’s version of a model answer looks like and the sort of language being used in each question.

GCSE French Speaking - Model Answers HIGHER

(0)

A set of possible speaking questions with model answers for Higher Tier candidates in French GCSE. There is a two sided sheet per module - Self & Family, Technology, Freetime, Customs & Festivals, Town, Social Issues, Global Issues, Holidays, School, Jobs & Future plans - 10 in total covering all aspects of the GCSE, I have separated them as per the Themes for AQA but the content could easliy be used for other exam boards. There is a tick list at the beginning for pupils to check off when they have completed there own version / revision for that particular topic. In addition there is a pupil version to be filled in for there answers. I tell my groups that although these answers are in essence to prepare for the speaking, all the relevant responses could be equally valid for a question on that topic in the writing. I’ve also included my PPT on ways to exploit texts in MFL, which will give some ideas on ways to use the texts for different purposes and different skills.

A list for each language of the SSCs required for the new GCSE. AQA, Edexcel and Eduqas have all used the exact list provided in the Subject Content Document for French, German and Spanish. I’ve done the lists with some examples, some from specs and some of my own. Obviously we are familiar with these through teaching phonics with each language, these are being listed as sounds to be aware of for the dictation element of the new assessments.

A PPT with lots of ideas of ways to use a texts to practise all 4 skills plus grammar and translation. Many of the activities have been seen before but I have tried to narrow them to be used with texts to break down the fear of large chunks of language!
