Numeracy Learning Wall display

Tell me if you find this sort of thing useful as I'm always creating quick things like this but never usually bother to upload them... Just some examples of how to add and multiply that I use on my working wall, nothing fancy, just reminders for some of the children who need it.

Let me know if you manage to find a use for this or if it's just geeky old me liking things like this! A little project I&'m still working on as I couldn&';t find anything like this anywhere. For display in the ICT suite, shows some of the details of the history of computers / breakthroughs made. Tried to simplify and add pictures and I hope all the facts are correct - there are so many conflicting ideas out there! Will add an interactive quiz / questions when I create them :) Let me know what you think.

Let me know what you think of this - a little late, but maybe for next year? Just a video as a hook for a BHM lesson a few weeks ago. Art activities are pretty simple, first one was completed by putting a pic of MLK on the IWB, freezing screen and tracing around it, then painting it. Second one involves a few things. Put an A4 enlarged picture in a plastic wallet, paint PVA glue on it and arrange layers of tissue paper, different colours for different features. Make sure that glue is painted on top of each layer and continue to build it up. When dry it peels off and looks great.

Let me know if this is useful - we do it every week and I have done for the past 5 or 6 years, the kids love it. I put a timer up on the IWB and they record the time. DNF time at approx 7-8 mins at start of year, achievable for most Y5s. After a couple of weeks you'll be surprised how quick they get. Record for my kids is 1 min 14 secs! After a few weeks will only take about 5 mins to do with a class, you can jumble up numbers or give out a 5 x 5 grid, anything really. I must be old fashioned as I'm a big supporter of this kind of rehearsal for times tables...

Let me know if you use this kind of thing as I am in the process of updating it all and will add more if needed... Here are my topic boards using the 'classic&' arrows in a target design. I&';ve also added some targets for numeracy that I copy and paste in to the text box at the bottom of the target. Alternatively it can be handwritten in. I like to select the targets myself at first, paste them in the box and stick in books / on target wall. Also need to update these targets to link more closely to APP but these are my old ones for now. I will add reading and writing targets soon.

Please leave a comment if this is useful for you. An easy solution I use for my groups. I type class names into table and laminate / cut. I use these for each of my group titles, that way they are easy to swap around. I'm very happy with the literacy and topic groups. The numeracy ones will receive an update soon as the image quality is a little low-res in my opinion.

Let me know if this is useful - Just wanted to show you how I like to display my group targets, I think it looks quite effective, nothing special but you might be able to use it - could type ind names on for ind targets if you wanted, or take a look at my other independent target sheet! Let me know what you think.
