Bible characters - old and new testament

(0)

Storystack bible characters are a set of 24 cone-shaped templates for cutting out and colouring, designed to accompany a large number of bible stories, told by the teacher or by the children. They are great for making stop-motion videos of bible stories or for sharing bible stories in a group for discussion.
I believe that listening to bible stories as a young child from any faith background helps with social and emotional development as well as a knowledge and understanding of the world. Re-telling these stories develops communication, literacy (including skills such as story sequencing) and language skills. The importance of these bible stories is particularly strong for the Christian but is important in the context of a balanced RE or PSHE ‘syllabus’.
The storytelling time could be followed by a related craft – for example, the story of the Good Samaritan could be followed by the children making a donkey and re-telling the story from the donkey’s perspective, or the innkeeper’s perspective or the man rescued by the Good Samaritan could re-tell the events.
The characters are numbered but not named and can be chosen to represent various bible characters. They can be downloaded in groups of 8.
